Major Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced interruptions to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the city endured intense attacks overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were injured.

The attacks succeed nights of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
